With a career spanning over 17 years, Laila has demonstrated exceptional expertise in architectural design, project management, and construction oversight, contributing to some of Oman’s most iconic projects including Majlis Oman, The Wave, the renovation of Mirani Fort, and numerous high-end projects in both the private and government sectors.

Currently serving as the Director at Sultan Haitham City, Laila leads complex development projects with a keen eye for innovation and sustainability. Her role involves close collaboration with developers and stakeholders to ensure that architectural visions are realized with precision and excellence. Prior to this, she held senior positions where she was instrumental in architectural and interior design, design management, and contract administration, consistently delivering projects that meet international standards while respecting local codes and cultural heritage.

Laila’s professional journey is marked by a strong foundation in both design and practical construction experience. She is skilled in conceptual design, detailed architectural planning, interior design, and design management, with thorough knowledge of International Building Codes, British Standards, Eurocodes, and local municipal regulations. Her academic credentials are equally impressive, holding a Bachelor of Engineering in Architecture from Sultan Qaboos University, where she graduated top of her class, and earning a scholarship to pursue a Master of Arts in Architecture from The Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London—one of the world’s leading architecture schools.

Beyond her technical expertise, Laila is deeply committed to nurturing the next generation of architects. She has served as a visiting lecturer at the Higher College of Technology, sharing her knowledge and inspiring students to pursue excellence in design. She also actively contributes to the Civil and Architectural Engineering Industrial Advisory Board at Sultan Qaboos University, helping to shape the future of architectural education in Oman.

Laila has been honored with the prestigious role of jury member for the Bilarab Award of Architecture and also serves as a jury member for the Basamat Award at Sultan Haitham City, reflecting her recognized expertise and leadership within the architectural community.

Her leadership extends beyond the office through her involvement in social initiatives such as the Residential Plans Revision Initiative, where she oversees social media outreach to engage the community and promote awareness around urban development.
