Currently serving as the Head of Real Estate Investments at Bank Muscat, Vignesh oversees the bank’s global real estate portfolio, managing a broad spectrum of funds and investment vehicles. His responsibilities include heading several marquee funds across the UAE, Oman and other GCC countries. During his tenor at Bank Muscat, Vignesh has successfully closed transactions worth c. $ 500 mn across verticals such as Retail, Hospitality, Commercial and Alternative assets.  These transactions were consummated across Oman, UAE and KSA.  

Prior to this role, Vignesh was a Fund Manager within Bank Muscat’s asset management team, handling a $1 billion portfolio across multiple funds investing in private equity, real estate, fixed income, and structured debt. His expertise covers sourcing, evaluating, and closing complex cross-border transactions with a sharp focus on risk management and value maximization.

A Proven Track Record Across Global Markets and Sectors

Before joining Bank Muscat, Vignesh gained extensive private equity experience as Associate Vice President at TVS Capital Funds, where he played an instrumental role in managing funds exceeding $350 million AUM and closing investments in fintech, financial services, logistics, and consumer products. His tenure as Deputy Chief Manager, Investments at Aditya Birla Private Equity saw him guiding portfolio companies in branded apparel, consumer beverages, and industrial sectors, delivering outstanding returns to investors.

Vignesh’s career also includes impactful stints in investment banking, corporate finance, internal audit, and tax consulting across India, the Middle East, and the UK—bringing a well-rounded perspective to his current leadership in Oman’s banking and investment sector.

Academic Excellence and Thought Leadership

Vignesh is a Chartered Accountant and holds an MBA with dual specializations in Finance and Strategy from XLRI Jamshedpur, one of India’s top business schools. He further enriched his education as an exchange student at Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western Reserve University, USA, excelling in strategy, finance, and mergers & acquisitions.

In addition to his professional roles, Vignesh is a passionate early-stage investor backing innovative startups across diverse sectors including insurtech, logistics, SaaS, fintech, healthcare, and deep tech.
