In her current role as the Acting Crew Affairs Manager at ALWusta Fisheries Industries, Ebtihal has developed and successfully implemented the company’s Crew Policy in accordance with the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC) 2006, the International Labour Organization (ILO) standards, and Omani Maritime Law. Her leadership ensures that the company strictly adheres to these global and national maritime labor standards, promoting decent work, safety, and welfare for seafarers.

She is entrusted with the welfare and management of over 400 crew members from various nationalities, with a special focus on the development and empowerment of Omani seafarers. Ebtihal takes immense pride in nurturing local talent and ensuring their rights and wellbeing are upheld to the highest international standards.

Oman’s ratification of the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC) in 2022 marked a significant milestone in safeguarding seafarers’ rights and welfare.
