A Proven Leader in Network Engineering and Project Management

Currently serving as Team Leader for Outside Site Plant Design at Omantel, Mohamed oversees the design and implementation of complex FTTx and outside plant projects. His responsibilities include managing requests for quotations, budget preparation, risk management, supplier evaluation, and cross-functional coordination to ensure projects align with Omantel’s strategic goals. Mohamed’s leadership ensures innovative solutions and operational efficiency in network infrastructure development.

Previously, Mohamed held key engineering roles at Ooredoo Oman, where he contributed to the expansion and optimization of IP/MPLS infrastructure, led critical projects such as network monitoring solutions and VMware Telco Farm expansions, and provided high-level technical support for business customers. His early career included internships at Chevron and the City of Berkeley, where he gained valuable experience in network planning and monitoring.

Mohamed graduated with honors in Computer Network Engineering from La Trobe University, Australia. His academic achievements include winning the Victoria State iAward for Best Student Project and recognition for his asset management system project developed for Alfred Hospital.
