UTAS Celebrates Graduation of 837 Students from Al Musannah Branch and Rustaq College of Education

Muscat: The University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS) – Al Musannah Branch, along with Rustaq College of Education, proudly celebrated the graduation of 837 students from the Class of 2025. The ceremony took place at Rustaq Sports Complex in South Al Batinah under the patronage of His Highness Sayyid Dr. Fares bin Turki Al Said. It was attended by H.E. Dr. Saeed Hamed Al Rubaie, Vice-Chancellor of UTAS, members of the State Council, officials from North and South Al Batinah Governorates, and families of the graduates.

The graduating cohort included 247 students from Rustaq College of Education enrolled in the Teacher Preparation Program in Science, Mathematics, and English, and 590 students from UTAS–Al Musannah across various technical and applied disciplines. At Al Musannah Branch, degrees were awarded to 232 graduates from the College of Engineering & Technology, 123 from the College of Computing & Information Sciences, and 235 from the College of Economics & Business Administration. Rustaq College of Education honored 97 English graduates, 37 Chemistry, 39 Biology, 31 Physics, and 43 Mathematics graduates.

Dr. Nasser Salem Al Bimani, Assistant Vice-Chancellor at UTAS–Al Musannah, addressed the gathering, stating:

“UTAS advances with a clear scientific vision embracing modern technologies and digital transformation, driven by innovation and excellence. Across all branches, including Al Musannah and Rustaq, the university strengthens academic programs, enriches research, and empowers students with leadership skills to contribute to national development.”

Following this, Dr. Sarah Mohammed Al Bahlani, Dean of Rustaq College of Education, presented the official graduation statement.

Graduate Eman Mohammed Al Jahdhami, holding a Bachelor of English, delivered the graduate speech, expressing pride and gratitude:

“Today, we celebrate the fruits of years of dedication and hard work, fueled by unwavering determination and the pursuit of excellence.”

Several graduates shared their reflections on this milestone. Al-Houra Humaid Al Nofli, Software Engineering graduate, described it as a mix of joy, relief, and anticipation for new opportunities. Nojoud Ali Al Sharyani, Bachelor of Physics, spoke about the rewarding feeling of achievement and the power of perseverance. Cybersecurity graduates Nawar Habib Al-Blooshi and Aya Salem Al-Hakamani expressed excitement about contributing to Oman’s digital security and development.

The ceremony underscored UTAS’s commitment to preparing highly qualified graduates equipped with the skills and competencies necessary to meet Oman’s national development goals and support the country’s ongoing renaissance.
