Manal Alkiyumi is a distinguished corporate communications and branding professional whose career reflects a powerful blend of strategic communication, leadership, social investment, and organizational impact. With experience spanning OQ8, OQ, Duqm Refinery, and Ooredoo Oman, she has built a reputation for creating meaningful connections between organizations, their people, and the communities they serve.

Leading Communication and Corporate Affairs at OQ8

At OQ8, Manal currently serves as Head of Management Support and Communication, reporting directly to the CEO. Her responsibilities extend across executive support, Board governance, strategic alignment, stakeholder management, brand and communications, social investment, and employee well-being.

Previously, she served as Head of Brand & Communication, where she led strategic communication initiatives designed to strengthen brand identity, visibility, and stakeholder relationships. Her leadership combines creative thinking with market awareness, ensuring that organizational messages remain consistent, relevant, and impactful.

She also served as Acting Vice President of Corporate Affairs, overseeing corporate communication and branding alongside facility management, administration, value-creation initiatives, and in-country value programs.

Championing Social Investment and Community Development

A significant part of Manal’s professional journey has centered on social investment and community development. At OQ, she managed the development and execution of social investment projects around OQ’s areas of operation. Earlier, at Duqm Refinery, she led social investment initiatives supporting local community development and stakeholder partnerships.

Her work has included initiatives across education, healthcare, women’s development, sustainability, and community engagement, demonstrating her belief that corporate success can be strengthened through meaningful social impact.

A Career Built on Communication

Manal’s career began in customer service and technical support before progressing into campaign management, corporate social responsibility, events, communications, and strategic leadership. During her decade with Ooredoo Oman, she advanced through several communication and CSR roles, eventually becoming Head of CSR & Events-Communication.

This progression gave her a broad understanding of organizations—from frontline customer engagement to corporate reputation and strategic communication.

Empowering Leadership Beyond the Workplace

Beyond her corporate responsibilities, Manal contributes to the development of women’s sports in Oman as a member of the Women’s Sports Committee of the Oman Olympic Committee. She is also an ICF-certified coach, reflecting her commitment to leadership development and empowering individuals to reach their potential.

Her academic background includes an MBA from the University of Bedfordshire and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Studies, specializing in Computer Networking, from Sunway University, Malaysia.
