From QHSE Leadership to Executive Management

Abdallah Al Sawafi’s career reflects a strong progression from QHSE and contract management to executive leadership. After 15 years with Sultan Bin Soud Bin Ahmed Al Shidhany Trading LLC, he advanced to Acting CEO & General Manager in 2025.

In his current role, he holds full P&L accountability and leads 500+ employees and a fleet of more than 1,500 vehicles, overseeing operations, HSE, and business development while reporting directly to the Board.

Building a Culture of Safety and Compliance

A defining achievement of Abdallah’s career is maintaining a zero-LTI record across a 1,500+ vehicle fleet throughout his tenure.

As Management Representative for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001, he has helped embed structured quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety systems within the organization.

His expertise encompasses risk and hazard management, QHSE systems, fleet operations, contract and tender management, budgeting, cost control, stakeholder management, and team leadership.

Strengthening Governance

Beyond operational performance, Abdallah has contributed to strengthening corporate governance through the implementation of Anti-Bribery, AML, Human Rights, and Data Protection frameworks.

His leadership therefore extends beyond compliance, connecting responsible business practices with operational discipline and organizational resilience.

Logistics & Energy Sector Expertise

Before assuming his current executive position, Abdallah served as QHSE Manager & Contract Manager, where he directed transportation strategy and fleet allocation.

His professional experience has supported operations involving major energy and industrial organizations, including PDO, Shell Oman, BP Oman, PETRONAS, CCED, OQEP, OQ8, OQNGL, OQGN, SLB, Baker Hughes, Halliburton, Worley, and Oman Air.

Professional Foundation

Abdallah holds a BBA from Makerere University and is currently pursuing an MBA from the University of Lancashire, UK.

His professional certifications include the NEBOSH International Diploma, NEBOSH IGC, IOSH Managing Safely, ISO 45001:2015 Lead Auditor, and OPAL-related safety and driving certifications.
