In his current role, Marwan contributes to the planning and implementation of projects that support the operational development of Oman Agriculture Development Company, an organization playing an increasingly important role in strengthening food security and agricultural infrastructure within the Sultanate.

His responsibilities involve overseeing project execution, supporting strategic planning processes, and ensuring that project portfolios are aligned with organizational goals. Leadership in Energy and Smart Utility Systems

Before joining Oman Agriculture Development Company, Marwan played a key role in Oman’s evolving energy and utilities landscape. At Nama Electricity Distribution Company, he served as AMI Project Implementation Team Leader, contributing to the deployment of Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) solutions.

This role involved coordinating project teams, managing implementation processes, and supporting the rollout of modern digital metering systems designed to enhance energy efficiency, data accuracy, and service reliability across electricity distribution networks.

Through this experience, he gained valuable expertise in smart utility technologies, stakeholder coordination, and large-scale infrastructure implementation.

Strengthening National Projects and Asset Management

Earlier in his career, Marwan worked with the National Energy Center as a Projects Supervisor, where he was involved in supervising the implementation of Water AMR (Automatic Meter Reading) projects as well as managing maintenance and recovery contract activities. His role focused on ensuring project compliance, coordinating operational teams, and supporting the successful delivery of infrastructure initiatives.

He also served as an Asset Management Supervisor at ALTKATOF, where he gained experience in overseeing asset lifecycle management and supporting operational optimization strategies.

These positions helped shape his comprehensive understanding of project lifecycle management, contract supervision, and operational efficiency within infrastructure-driven organizations.

Marwan began his professional journey with a technical background in Mechanical Engineering, having earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Technology and Applied Sciences in Oman. Earlier, he completed foundational studies at the Military Technological College and his secondary education at Al Ibdaa International School.
