With nearly 14 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, primarily with Petroleum Development Oman, Al Jabri has demonstrated strong capabilities across the full lifecycle of engineering projects—from design and construction to commissioning and operational handover.

Leadership in Construction and Project Execution

Currently serving as Head of Construction at Petroleum Development Oman, Al Jabri leads multidisciplinary teams responsible for delivering complex engineering projects while maintaining strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Throughout his career, he has built a reputation for effective coordination with contractors and stakeholders, ensuring that project schedules, logistics, and resources are managed efficiently. His leadership approach focuses on achieving PDO’s “Goal Zero” incident culture, reflecting a strong commitment to workplace safety and operational excellence.

His expertise spans several key areas, including:

• Construction management
• Commissioning and project close-out
• Contract management and project delivery
• Budgeting, planning, and cost estimation
• Quality assurance and feasibility studies

These capabilities allow him to consistently deliver projects and technical studies on time while maintaining high standards of quality and performance.

International Engineering Experience

Earlier in his career, Al Jabri gained valuable international exposure as a Design Engineer with Petrofac in the UAE. During this time, he contributed to the Rabab Harweel Project, one of the largest projects in the history of PDO and Shell.

In this role, he played an important part in detailed electrical engineering design, including:

• High-capacity substations
• Electrical motors and power systems
• Cable networks and electrical layouts

He also participated in major engineering reviews such as HAZOP studies and Factory Acceptance Tests, ensuring systems were fully validated before deployment on site.

Advancing Through Leadership Roles

Following his design engineering experience, Al Jabri progressed through a series of increasingly senior roles at PDO. His responsibilities expanded across construction, commissioning, and project management, where he successfully oversaw project execution and operational transitions.

As a Project Lead Construction Manager within the Greater Birba cluster, he managed large-scale projects with budgets reaching up to $500 million. In this role, he focused on stakeholder coordination, shutdown planning, performance optimization, and continuous improvement, ensuring that projects were delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with operational goals.

Academic Foundation and Professional Expertise

Al Jabri holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Power Systems from Sultan Qaboos University, one of the Sultanate’s leading academic institutions. His educational background laid the foundation for his strong analytical approach to engineering, project management, and technical problem-solving.

Over the years, he has complemented this technical expertise with strong business awareness and leadership skills, enabling him to bridge the gap between engineering execution and strategic project delivery.

Passion Beyond Engineering

Beyond his professional achievements in the energy sector, Al Jabri also pursues a personal passion for football analysis. He is a certified football analyst from Canada, approaching the sport with the same strategic mindset and analytical attention to detail that defines his engineering career.
