Over the course of 13 years, he advanced from Senior OT Systems Engineer to Lead OT Cybersecurity Engineer, demonstrating both professional excellence and unwavering loyalty to Oman.

His leadership has been instrumental in implementing world-class automation standards and cybersecurity best practices, safeguarding the nation’s critical infrastructure, and ensuring compliance with global benchmarks. As a Shell OT Technical Authority (TA2), ISA Certified Automation Professional (CAP), and IEC-62443 Cybersecurity Expert, Wael has built a reputation for protecting national energy resources while enabling operational efficiency and reliability.

His pioneering spirit led to the establishment of Oman’s first integrated automation control systems training facility—a milestone initiative designed to build local technical capabilities.

Through this platform, Wael has delivered over 50 specialized training programs, coaching and mentoring young Omani engineers. His dedication to knowledge transfer has systematically elevated the competencies of automation teams across multiple disciplines, reflecting his deep belief in developing Oman’s human capital for a sustainable future.
