Tesla has initiated its entry into the Omani automotive market by beginning the recruitment process for its first dedicated sales team in Muscat. The manufacturer is currently seeking to fill three full-time roles, specifically a store manager, a sales adviser, and a customer experience specialist, as it prepares to establish a permanent presence within the Sultanate.
The nature of the store manager position signals clear intentions for the development of a physical retail outlet in the capital. While the exact location of this showroom remains undisclosed, the move follows a pattern of localized growth across the Gulf region. Tesla’s broader Middle East market lead, Pawel Trzpis, recently confirmed the company is constructing its Omani team from the ground up, prioritising sales expertise to facilitate the brand’s arrival.
Tesla’s arrival in Oman follows an established trajectory of expansion throughout the Gulf Cooperation Council. After its initial entry into the UAE in 2017, the company moved into Qatar in late 2023, followed by a significant push into Saudi Arabia in 2025. By March 2026, the Saudi network had expanded to include dedicated sales and service centres in Riyadh and Jeddah, supported by a widespread network of 48 Supercharger stalls.
Historically, Tesla has maintained a presence in the Omani landscape through targeted collaborations. A 2018 partnership with Majid Al Futtaim saw the deployment of four electric vehicle charging stations at City Centre Muscat. As the company prepares for its upcoming launch, critical details regarding the national service infrastructure, the full vehicle lineup, and local pricing strategies remain pending, marking a new chapter for the manufacturer in the local market.
