Hani Macki, Founder and CEO of BidBid Technologies, is a seasoned business leader and entrepreneur whose 25-year career spans banking, strategy, business development, fintech, customer experience, and real estate. Based in Muscat, he has built a diverse leadership journey that combines financial expertise with a strong focus on innovation and business transformation.

As the founder of BidBid, Macki is working to modernize B2B procurement through a plug-and-play digital solution designed to automate negotiations, communications, and supplier evaluations, with the aim of helping businesses achieve greater efficiency and more competitive pricing.

Building a Career Across Finance and Strategy

Before launching BidBid in 2022, Macki spent more than 13 years at BankDhofar, progressing through senior leadership positions including AGM and Head of Premier Banking Services, AGM and Head of Strategic Business Development, and Assistant General Manager for Strategy & Planning.

His banking career also included leadership in corporate marketing, business banking, and Islamic banking, giving him broad exposure to financial services, strategic planning, customer engagement, and organizational growth.

Earlier, Macki held several roles with HSBC, including Branch Manager, Regional Marketing Manager, and Manager of Customer Loyalty & Retention/Regional Call Center. These positions strengthened his expertise in customer-centric business development and international financial services.

From Strategy to Entrepreneurship

Macki’s entrepreneurial experience extends beyond BidBid. He has founded and managed ventures across different sectors and has held board-level responsibilities with organizations including 360 Remit, Sharakah, and the Environment Society of Oman.

His role as Team Leader at the Vision Realization Office for Oman Vision 2040 also placed him within a national strategic context, contributing to initiatives aligned with Oman’s long-term development objectives.

These experiences have enabled Macki to view business challenges from both an operational and strategic perspective, helping him identify opportunities for innovation and sustainable growth.

Through BidBid, Macki is applying his extensive experience in financial services and strategy to one of the most important functions within modern businesses: procurement.

The platform seeks to reduce the time and complexity associated with supplier negotiations and evaluations while improving communication and decision-making. Its focus on automation reflects Macki’s belief that technology can make business processes more efficient, transparent, and commercially effective.

His multilingual and international background—including proficiency in Arabic, English, and Spanish, alongside working knowledge of other languages—also complements his experience working across diverse business environments.

Macki is a Certified Strategy Management Officer, having completed his certification through Strategy Management Collaborative in Germany. His educational background also includes studies at Duquesne University in the United States and The Kiski School.

Combined with more than two decades of professional experience, his academic and executive development has supported a leadership approach grounded in strategic thinking, adaptability, and innovation.
