Eng. Said Al Mawali brings over 17 years of combined academic and practical experience in firefighting and industrial safety. His career encompasses the development of comprehensive training programs, hands-on field operations, and the management of emergency response teams, establishing him as a prominent figure in Oman’s firefighting sector.

His professional journey reflects steady progression and distinction. He began as a Technical Operator on the training ground, advancing through roles such as Assistant Fire Instructor, Fire Instructor, Senior Instructor, and Fire Ground Manager. Each step highlighted his competence and growing expertise in leading and designing effective training curricula.

Beyond his operational roles, Eng. Said has been instrumental in community fire safety awareness. He has delivered numerous lectures educating the public on household fire causes, prevention methods, and emergency responses. These efforts have notably enhanced public safety knowledge and promoted preventive behaviors.

Eng. Said is an active participant in national and international conferences and exhibitions related to firefighting and emergency response. He has contributed to evaluating and conducting emergency drills for critical sectors, including airports and the oil and gas industry, thereby bolstering their emergency preparedness.

Within Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), he played a pivotal role in enhancing firefighter training and operational readiness. Eng. Said was key to implementing the Pre-Incident Plan, a proactive framework identifying gaps in emergency preparedness and providing solutions that have improved team confidence, competence, and response effectiveness.

Currently, as the Fire Operations Coordinator for PDO’s Southern Region, Eng. Said leads fire station management focused on efficiency, quick response, and the protection of lives and vital industrial assets.

Supported by a Bachelor’s degree in Fire Safety Engineering, Eng. Said advocates for a culture of proactive risk management and operational excellence, making vital contributions to Oman’s sustainable energy infrastructure.
